HOW WE CAN HELP YOU
Engine Diagnostics
A warning light is a starting point, not an answer. We read the codes, then verify the fault with live data and hands-on testing before recommending any repair, so you pay to fix the problem rather than to replace parts that were working. If nothing has flagged yet, a vehicle inspection is the cheaper place to start.
- Reading codes and live engine data
- Testing sensors and components under real conditions
- Confirming the cause before any work is quoted
Engine Repair & Rebuild
Most engine problems do not need a new engine. We repair what has failed, from gaskets and seals to valve train and timing components, and rebuild only when a rebuild is the better value. Either way you get the comparison first — the same approach we take to transmission repair.
- Diagnosing whether repair or rebuild is the right call
- Replacing failed internal and external components
- Road testing before the vehicle goes back to you
Timing Belts & Chains
On an interference engine, a failed timing belt can destroy the engine in seconds. We replace belts, tensioners and idlers at the manufacturer's interval, set the timing precisely, and check the related components while the front of the engine is already open. It belongs on the same routine maintenance schedule as everything else with an interval.
- Replacing belts, tensioners and idlers together
- Setting timing to factory specification
- Inspecting related components while access is open
Belts & Hoses
Serpentine belts and radiator hoses are among the cheapest parts on a vehicle and among the most common reasons one gets towed. We inspect them at every service and replace them before they fail, not after. Hoses are checked alongside the rest of the cooling system service.
- Inspecting belts for cracking, glazing and wear
- Checking hoses and clamps for softening and leaks
- Replacing on condition, not on guesswork
Oil Leaks, Gaskets & Seals
A puddle on the driveway usually means a seal has given up. We trace the leak to its actual source, whether that is the valve cover, the oil pan, the timing cover or the rear main, and replace the failed gasket rather than topping it up and sending you away. Most leaks are spotted during a routine oil change.
- Tracing the leak to its true source
- Replacing valve cover, pan, timing cover and axle seals
- Checking oil level and condition after the repair

It means the engine computer has recorded a fault. That could be something as small as a loose fuel cap or as serious as a misfire damaging the catalytic converter. The code points to a system, not a part, which is why we verify the fault before quoting a repair.
It depends on the condition of the rest of the vehicle and what the repair actually costs. We give you the comparison, including when the answer is that the vehicle is not worth the work.
At the interval in your owner’s manual, typically between 60,000 and 100,000 miles depending on the engine. On an interference engine, replacing it on schedule is far cheaper than what happens if it snaps.
Any leak is worth identifying. A weeping gasket can be monitored. A leak onto a hot exhaust, or a dropping oil level, is not something to wait on. We will tell you which one you have.
Yes. We service both, from daily drivers to trucks, and we work on all makes rather than only the ones we see most often.
